Today marks the 46th Birthday of Nigerian football legend, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, and the entire football world is agog with wishes for the retired Super Eagles captain. The Nigeria Football Federation, FIFA, and European football governing body UEFA left messages on their official twitter handles for Jay Jay.

Skillful Okocha was capped 73 times for the Nigerian national team between 1993 and 2006, scoring 14 goals in a career that saw him form part of the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winning Super Eagles team, and the Gold-wining Atlanta, 1996 Olympic Eagles.
French club PSG, Bolton Wanderers of England, and Turkish giants Fenerbahce are some of the clubs the gifted midfielder featured for prior to retirement. Okocha’s exploits in England saw him handed the captaincy of Bolton Wanderers by Sam Allardyce in 2007.
