The Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo Scandal
This week, social media was rocked by claims made by Timi Dakolo’s wife, Busola Dakolo, against the pastor of the Common Wealth of Assembly (COZA) church. In an interview with Ynaija, Busola Dakolo, claimed that the pastor allegedly raped her many years ago. This was followed by a statement from the pastor countering the claims and threatening to sue. Many Nigerians have since weighed in on the case:

I have seen Biodun Fatoyinbo’s statement. I look forward to him carrying out his threat to sue Busola Dakolo. As Mrs Dakolo doesn’t have a church that can fund her defence, I have set aside a little money to contribute to her defence. Please do so too. #IStandWithBusolaDakolo

RUGA
Rural Grazing Area (RUGA) settlements are the latest scheme by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to bring about an end to the conflict that has long existed between nomadic herders and farmers. The scheme, which entails the implementation of settlements around Nigerian to house herders, was kicked against by the Benue State government and several notable Southern and Middle Belt socio-political. Many Nigerians also slammed it as an alleged plan of President’s to Islamise Nigeria, although others welcomed it.
However, it was subsequently disclosed that the Federal Government had suspended the RUGA project until further notice.
Egyptian firm,Bovine Masters has signed a deal to produce Halal beef in Nigeria; in a $12m processing factory. Australia has 26million cattle and made $6b from beef export. Nigeria has 19.5million, and these RUGA stations can help us tap into a potential $3b revenue from cattle. pic.twitter.com/03aIEBWIUM

— Jaafar Jaafar (@JaafarSJaafar) June 30, 2019
A government that fails to resettle/build houses for IDPs displaced by Fulani herdsmen in parts of the North West and the North Central should not even moot the idea of settlements for their marauders. Resettle IDPs first!
The first time I heard about this Ruga thing was 4 days ago. Was there an open discussion abt it? Who was consulted? How long has it been in the news? Did I miss it in the news? What other states are giving up their land? What is the main purpose? Have they consulted farmers too?
