You Smell Nice
A female HR on Twitter has been trending all week after she narrated how she told off a male applicant who complimented her for smelling nice. While some Nigerians find her reaction to the applicant’s gesture valid others think she overreacted.
A job interview is a professional engagement. Don’t tell your interviewer “You smell nice.” There are rules around these things. If you don’t like it, set up your own company. But remember, even Mark Zuckerberg wears a sharp suit when he has a serious meeting with government. pic.twitter.com/pgOIffVZSa

If a lady tells me I smell nice after an interview in a suggestive tone I’ll tell her “thank you for the compliment. But such compliments can blow your chances in the future.”
— Dr Dípò Awójídé (@OgbeniDipo) March 12, 2019
If she is a good fit, I’ll still give her the job. And won’t bring it to Twitter.
Na from “you smell nice” “send me nudes” dey start sha.

It takes an emotionally mature person to:
— Reno Omokri (@renoomokri) March 12, 2019
* Understand a compliment
* Appreciate it, and
* Not see it as a bribe
But there is a thin line between a compliment and flattery. Most people LIKE compliments. The majority HATE flattery.
By the way, you smell nice!#RenosNuggets

But, why did Vogue edit Adesua Etomi’s skin colour? To pass her off as a black woman?
— Gift 🖤 (@gyftama) March 14, 2019
Can't we be happy for Adesua Etomi-Wellington and enjoy it – stop this complaints of her skin tone being darker biko – did they use it to do us? 😒

Warri!
A little girl from the Warri, Delta State, has been trending ever since a video of her emerged on the internet. In the video, the little girl can be seen recounting her ordeal of being punished and sent out of school for not paying school fees. As touching as the video is, her mannerisms have made Nigerians remember why “Warri no dey carry last”.
The school sent her home cos her parents haven't paid her school fees, lil girl said she prefers to stay back at school and get flogged instead of being sent home daily for non-payment.#warri #Nigeria pic.twitter.com/qnRqvj6B2t

That Warri kid is on my mind.
— Osaretin Victor Asemota (@asemota) March 14, 2019
No child should be sent away from school because the parent can't pay fees. Let the parents be disgraced but NEVER the child. She was even willing to be punished. Imagine the trauma??
I want to do something about it. @Ojeaga lets revive EazyFees.
Nigerians wait for someone to go viral before helping.
