ASUU Suspends Strike
After three months of deliberation with the Federal Government, The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) finally suspended its strike on Thursday. The body, however, cautioned that it would declare another strike action with full force if the Federal Government failed to meet its own end of the bargain.

Thanks to the Buhari led Federal Government and of course ASUU for ending this embarrassing 3 months strike. I hope the Federal Government now sits with ASUU and other key stakeholders and seek long term solutions. That is the only way we won’t come back here.

WorldWizkidDay
Wizkid’s fans have taken their fandom to the next level by setting the 4th of February as a day to celebrate the icon every year. This came after videos of Wizkid’s interview with a US radio station went viral. Since then, more videos of his achievements have flooded the Twitter timeline. It should be recalled that the United States Governor of Minnesota, declared the 6th of October as “Wizkid Day” last year for the singer’s feats across the world.

The crowd at the #BBnaija auditions is proof of our flawed value system and our failed government. I am not against anyone going to audition for it, but when this is what majority of our youth see as a way to escape poverty, then we have a serious problem.
