Indigenous mobile network provider,
9Mobile, partnered with Bango, a mobile payment platform, to launch its e-wallet –
9pay. The mobile wallet enables customers transfer money and effect bill payments with ease, and even pay for digital content on Google Play store.
9Pay
9Pay makes performing quick mobile transactions easy. It can also be used to pay for web services like lotteries and other locally made apps and games.
The platform is available to all mobile users. You can register by visiting the
website. Click on the
Get Started tab in the middle of the home page to create a 9pay account. You will be required to provide your First Name, Last Name, Phone Number and your preferred 4-digit PIN. Likewise you can dial
*500# if you are a 9Mobile network subscriber and select
Register.
Funding your 9Pay account is also very easy. They’re two available channels for funding your account. You can log on to the
web portal and sign in. Go to the
Fund Account tab and follow the instructions. You can fund your 9Pay account straight from your bank account as the platform is already connected to most available banks and financial institutions.
You can also go via USSD by dialing
*500# on the 9Mobile Nigeria network if you are a 9Mobile subscriber. Follow the onscreen prompts to
Fund Account. Your current 9Pay balance will be displayed on the home page of the web console, or you can request to view balance via USSD and dial *500#.
9pay is another intriguing payment solution that will drive businesses and enable faster mobile payments for individuals. It will reduce the over dependence on debit cards for online purchases and subscriptions, and much more, grant new customers access to the digital economy.
