Meet Chioma Mayrschofer. She’s a 9-year-old Nigerian-German artist who just won a recent art contest in Germany.
The competition was organised by VR Bank, one of the European country’s biggest banks. Young Chioma was given the wonderful opportunity of showcasing her art at a two-week exhibition as well, along with receiving a cool cash prize of an undisclosed amount.
“When they mentioned the third and second winners and my name wasn’t mentioned, I lost hope and was very disappointed knowing that I should at least have gotten the second position… As they said the first position goes to, I cared less, but surprisingly it was me…when my name was mentioned I leaped up with joy… I am so happy and so grateful to God,” Chioma said.
