The importance of water cannot be overemphasized, it is pretty common knowledge that drinking a lot of water is good for you. It keeps you hydrated and helps in flushing out toxins from the body, all these reasons and more are why you should be drinking a lot of water. However, most people do not particularly enjoy the taste of water as it’s not exactly “crave-able” and this makes them drink less water. Luckily, there are ways to make water taste better: Frozen fruits Freeze chunks of fruits like strawberries, oranges or apples in an ice cube tray and pop in your water for a fruity flavor. Alternatively, infuse your water with fresh fruits such as Pineapple, let the fruit infuse in the water for 1-2 hours before drinking. Make tea Herbal, green, white and red teas are generally considered to be better for you than black teas, like coffee because they contain little caffeine. Make a bottle of water and chill it, or drink at room temperature all through the day. Tea is the same as water in terms of hydration, so stock up on your favorite teas. Add a splash of juice Go for juices that are all natural, with no added sugars. They not only sweeten your water, they also contain vitamins that can benefit your health. You may also freeze the juice in an ice cube tray and pop in your water. Use sweeteners Sweeteners such as powdered drinks mix, artificial sweeteners and more can amp up the flavor in your plain water. However, pay attention to the nutritional labels of these products keying in on calories per serving, total sugar, and ingredients. Herbs or spices Spice up the flavor of your drinking water with a favorite herb or spice. Add a couple of mint leaves or steep in water overnight in the fridge.
