Valentine is the perfect time to celebrate your love. If you need an idea for a loving momemt with your significant other, then you are in the right place.
Here are three tips to help you plan the perfect romantic getaway:
1. Sign Up For A Couples Tour
Lots of Tour companies are organising romantic beach getaways and boat cruises with dinner for Couples this season (see our Valentine Tour deals articles). You can easily put a call through and sign up with them. These agencies have made arrangements for transportation to the venue, music, activities to take part in and sometimes food and drinks. This way, you don’t have to rack your brain too much for what to do. Or you could organise your own couple tour. You could spend the night at an All-inclusive Resort or an expensive hotel that offers Couples Valentine’s day discounts that comes complete with flowers and a bottle of wine. Or have a city tour after watching a romantic movie with popcorn and chocolates at the cinema where the cold that forces you to snuggle up (a little PDA won’t hurt).
2. Get Out Of Town
Is there a tourist destination, barely two hours’ drive from where you live, in the nearby state? If yes, then pack a few things and arrange for a Daycation there. For instance, if you live in Lagos and you are worried most hotspots will be overcrowded, why not get on a bus and go to Olumo rock for a picnic at the top or to have fun at HI Impact Planet Amusement Park in Ogun state? If you are based in Abuja, you can take a train ride to Kaduna to see Kamuku National Park or spend the night at Fifth Chukker Resort. Or if you live in Oyo state, you can hang out at IITA Forest Reserve or Agodi Botanical Garden. The closer the destination, the better that way you can spend more time there than on the road.
3. Do Something Different
You could gift your partner a prepaid trip to a destination you know they’ll love. The trip doesn’t have to be for Valentine’s day, it could be for this weekend or for whenever their annual leave comes up. If you fix it for Valentine’s day, it will be extra special if it is at a beach resort like La Manga in Lagos or somewhere like Jabi Boat Club in Abuja with a view of the ocean as the moon and stars shine at night. You could also do romantic things like writing a love poem or singing love songs to each other in the Awhum caves near the waterfalls or close contact swimming in the Blue Azumini River. Being at a place with a spectacular view of nature has a way of heightening loving feelings.
Travelling with your beloved is always a super cool idea because you get to create unique memories. The more you share special moments together, the closer your bond will be and the richer your relationship will be. So what are you waiting for? The day is far from over. Pack your bags and go have a romantic time today.
