The 2nd Edition of the NUJ FCT Council-Chinese Journalists Table Tennis Tournament has been scheduled for Saturday 14th July, 2018 at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Wuse, Abuja.

In last year’s edition of the tournament, the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture chapel emerged champions after a long tennis-bout, while Nigerian Televisions Authority were the 1st runner up of the games. The News Agency of Nigeria also took of the spoils of victory coming in as the 2nd runner up.
During the second edition of the tournament in Abuja, the defending champions will be looking to justify their trophies while other chapels will go head on for a chance to emerge in top three at the end of the tourney.
In a statement signed by the FCT NUJ Secretary, Rafat Salami, preparations are underway to make this year’s competition very thrilling for participants as Chinese journalists representatives will also be in action vying for a trophy.
“Ahead of that tournament on Saturday, the NUJ has set up two tennis tables training facility at its secretariat in Utako to enable members to sharpen their skills. The secretariat is also being serviced with light for members.All chapels of the council are advised to forward to the secretariat those who will participate in the tournament, while advising all chapel leaders to mobilise all members to come and cheer up their players.”
