After touring round major campuses in various cities including Lagos, Benin, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Abuja, 2face’s live concert project ‘Campus Connect’ finally came to an end last weekend. The closing event was held at the Indoor Sports Hall, Unilag; a cavernous building that struggled to hold the huge turnout of students and celebrities that came to show their appreciation.
The tour was sponsored by the quality low- sugar drink, Amstel Malta, and started early last month with the visit to University of Lagos, then Benin and Port Harcourt. It made a stopover at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, and finally checked in at the University of Abuja. A host of other artistes performed alongside Tuface, such as Ranson, Money B, Hype M.C, Efa, Young Grace, 2Sec, Rocksteady, Damy Crane, Sheyi Shay, Rough Coil, Vector, Solid Star, Phyno, Sound Sultan and the winner of Amstel Malta Showtime 2012.
The audience received Tuface with a thunderous cheer of excitement when he stepped on stage, churning out some of his iconic music tracks. The show offered interactive music renditions which drew endless applause and joyful moments from crowd. The mammoth crowd, comprising students from University of Lagos, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State Polytechnic and Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Lagos defied the heavy downpour to enjoy the music performance by Tuface and friends.
