It’s great to know that celebrities stand for so much more than role models. In the wake of the massive flood that occurred last week in Benue State Makurdi, Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face, said he’s considering organizing a concert to raise funds for the flood victims. He and wife, Annie Idibia arrived Benue State, with food items and donated other gifts to console thousands of families affected by the flood, who are currently taking shelter at the camp for internally displaced persons. While at the camp, 2face said he really wished he could do more for the victims, “I have a concert scheduled to hold in Jos for the victims of the Boko Haram insurgency, but we will try to organize one around December to raise funds for the flood victims in Benue.” He used the opportunity to urge his fellow colleagues in the industry to offer assistance and reach out to the victims. He also appealed to the Federal government and Benue State government to provide drains in flood prone areas of the state to avoid future occurrence. This would hopefully go a long way in consoling them. Please if you can, also reach out and help.
