Its estimate covered 37 vendors and was taken based on primary field research undertaken in Nigeria as part of Global Consumer Telecommunications and Global Enterprise Telecommunications Surveys.
It also took into account shipment data disclosed by vendors together with Point of Sale (POS) data available through various vendors, including operators. Its report covered qquarterly data available from first quarter of 2004 to second quarter of 2012; and has annual data available from 2004, projected to 2013. The report outlined Handset Sales by Vendor (Thousands of Units), Handset Sales Growth (Year on Year) and Handset Sales (Market Share, %).
