The UN Global Compact’s Business & Human Rights Accelerator offers a comprehensive six-month initiative designed to engage companies from diverse industries and geographical regions. This program aims to support organisations in transitioning effectively from human rights commitments to concrete implementation by developing sustainable human rights due diligence processes.

Eligibility Criteria

Companies seeking participation in the Business & Human Rights Accelerator must either hold current UN Global Compact membership or demonstrate willingness to become members. Additionally, participating organisations must:

  • Demonstrate dedication to program completion and integration of acquired knowledge into corporate strategy and day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain active involvement with their regional Global Compact Country Network or express readiness to establish such engagement.
  • Show preparedness to assess human rights risks and impacts while defining a primary value chain area for concentrated attention.
  • Display commitment toward creating an Action Plan that addresses identified and prioritised human rights concerns.
  • Designate two operational-level delegates for session attendance and program participation, plus one executive-level representative to monitor progress, provide organisational support, and engage in senior-level activities.
