Sierra Leone took the lead through a Jonathan Morsay header in the 11th minute of the game, but it only took Nigeria six minutes to equalize through Alex Iwobi. The Everton FC of England midfielder combined brilliantly with Nantes of France forward Simon Moses to gift Nigeria the equalizer. Nigeria would press on for another goal, but it was not until the 41st minute of the game when a highly spirited run from Ola Aina brought in a cross for Simon Moses to head a pass to Osimhen who latched the ball excellently into the net to gift Jose Peseiro’s Eagles the lead and the maximum points.
