  Ahead of Nigeria’s 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Benin Republic scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 27, 2021, in Porto Novo, the camp of the three-time African champions will open on March 22 in Lagos.

The Super Eagles won the first leg encounter 2-1 in Benin City in 2019 with goals from Samuel Kalu and Victor Osimhen despite the visitors taking the lead. While camping commences on March 22, the Gernot Rohr led charges will depart for Porto Novo on March 25 in the quest for a ticket to Cameroun AFCON 2022. After the game, the Super Eagles will play host to Lesotho on March 30, 2021, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos State,  in what will be their last 2022 AFCON qualifier match.

The last time the Super Eagles played a game at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, was ten years ago. They will be looking forward to the high cheering Lagos football fans when they welcome Lesotho. Despite leading their group with 8 points out of 4 games, Nigeria needs at least a point from both encounters to qualify for the biggest African football event.
