According to Mr Emeka Okafor, MD of Connect Nigeria,
“For businesses to grow to the next level, they need to know what to do holistically…and use the information they gather from the Business Fair. The BizFair is like a two days MBA crash course.”
The press asked several questions about the Business Fair and some were directed to some of the partnering firms. Mr Bossman, responding to a question on why Allianz Insurance decided to partner on a larger scale with Connect Nigeria for the Business Fair, answered thus:
“We could see the potential in there. We are interested in finding solutions and helping businesses grow. We were at the event in 2019 but on a smaller scale…Allianz Insurance has a big focus on the SME sector.”-Mr Walter Bossman
According to Mr Omasade of Aiteo, the foremost and indigenous oil and gas firm have been partners from the onset of the fair in 2011 as a means of supporting SMEs. He stated that this is “to encourage the next generation of businessmen [and businesswomen] who will like to run the next ‘Aiteo’.”
In response to one of the questions on what new the 2020 edition of the Business Fair is introducing, Mr Okafor responded that among others is the Hackathon for startups in partnership with Founders Institute.
