History has taught Cameroon quite the bitter lesson at the hands of Nigeria’s fearless Super Falcons. Each time both teams have met in the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, our girls proved the stronger side and have maintained continued dominance over their geographical neighbors on the playing field.
It is no secret that the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon bear a grudge against the Falcons who have been a thorn in their side for as long as they can remember.
In the past four years, the Falcons have been a consistent stumbling block between Cameroon and their well sought first AWCON title.
Today, Tuesday, November 27, 2018, the long-term feud between both sides will worsen as the Falcons prepare to meet the Lionesses in a dead set 2018 AWCON semi-final battle, at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ghana.
The winner of the match will book a spot in the AWCON final, and also in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
Seeing the lot there is to lose, Cameroon will be looking to flip the table on Nigeria later today. However if we know one thing surely, it is that our Falcons are the fiercest women’s team in the whole of Africa and they will not be kicked around — they will prove their strength to Cameroon and the rest of Africa.
We wish our Super Falcons the very best! Bring it home, girls! You might also like:
