The Super Falcons have been drawn alongside South Africa, Zambia and Kenya in Group B of the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) scheduled to take place in Accra, Ghana, from November 17th to December 1, 2018.
In the draw, conducted on Sunday night by the CAF General Secretary in charge of football development, Anthony Baffoe, eight teams, grouped into two separate groups, will face off for a chance to take home the 11th TOTAL Women’s Africa Cup.
Tournament favorite and eight-time winners of the crown, the Super Falcons, will begin their campaign against continental rivals, South Africa, before they face Zambia and Kenya later in the competition.
In Group A, host team, Ghana, will take on 2016 finalists, Cameroon, alongside Mali and Algeria. The 2018 TOTAL Africa women’s cup will serve as Africa’s qualifiers for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

Group B: Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia
Two teams are expected to qualify from each group into the next stage of the championship.
