ALGERIA 2 – 2 IVORY COAST

With Algeria already eliminated and Ivory Coast confirmed as group winners, there was little to play for in this encounter.

Ivory Coast coach, Sabri Lamouchi sent out a reserve side against an Algeria team aiming to get a goal/point before bowing out of the competition.

The Algerians were awarded a penalty when Ismael Traore brought down Hilal Soudani in the first half but Ryad Boudebou missed the spotkick but Sofiane Feghouli scored from a second penalty.

Valencia midfielder, Feghouli then crossed for Hilal Soudani to make it two.

The Ivorians pulled one back through Didier Drogba. The comeback was complete when striker, Wilifred Bony’s shot was deflected into the Algerian net.
