The Step Up! Global Grants Program is part of the broader AstraZeneca Young Health Program, which enables youth-focused non-profit organizations to make an impact in the communities they serve. In the past three years, several organizations across the world have received a total of $400,000 in grants to support effective healthcare promotion programs in their countries. The winners have come largely from low and middle-income countries. This year, the Step Up! Global Grants Program will focus on projects that both support environmental sustainability and reduce the prevalence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD). Grants will be provided to organizations that address the needs of vulnerable groups aged 10-30 years in underserved communities, reach an appreciably large number of people, and are managed by non-profits with an annual income of $1 million or less. Grantees should also be able to show evidence of the conclusion of the project for which the grant has been given. The project should be completed in 12 months starting no earlier than February 22.

Besides the grant, grantees will be asked to join AstraZeneca’s Young Health Program (YHP) alumni group. This provides them with opportunities to learn and network with other grantees and young leaders across the world.Eligibility
Organizations can apply if they:- Have experience in delivering projects that positively impact their communities in terms of health and environmental sustainability
- Able to provide documentation that verifies their financial situation and charitable status
- Operate in low or middle-income countries
