Sports: This Week On Social Media

Kelechi Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho

Nigerian international and Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, scored his first goal for Leicester in 15 months in their 4-1 win over West Brom. The goal is Iheanacho’s first English Premier league goal for LCFC, and he is, understandably, very excited about it. To celebrate this achievement, Iheanacho had a giveaway on his twitter page which ended on Monday.

Ndidi Wilfred

Leicester City star, Ndidi Wilfred, also congratulated Iheanacho on his first EPL goal for LCFC. Ndidi has established himself as a player Leicester can’t afford to part with, completing more tackles than any other player in the league. Ndidi’s performance for LCFC this season is very commendable.

Happy Birthday, Shehu Abdullahi

FIFA Trophy Tour

It was an honor having the FIFA trophy in Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja). The trophy tour came to a jolly end at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos on Saturday, with fans thrilled to songs from Nigeria’s A-list artistes. Fans also had a chance to take pictures with the “most coveted” sports silverware. According to a few attendees, the experience is one they are thrilled to have witnessed in their lifetime, and they expressed their gratitude to Coca-Cola for the opportunity. Hopefully, this is not the last time we’ll see the trophy in Nigeria.

Ugochi Desire Oparanozie

Female Nigerian international and En Avant de Guingamp forward, Ugochi Desire Oparanozie, was nominated by Women’s Soccer United for Goal of the Month for the month of February. You can vote for Desire  Oparanozie here.
