SAP Launches IT Training Programme for Africa

SAP, a German multinational software corporation that makes enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations, aims to train up to 3,000 graduates, matriculates and entrepreneurs across five African countries including South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria in the next five years as part of its multimillion skill investment programme. SAP says its skills programme will train people in information technology and business skills. CEO of SAP Africa, Pfungwa Serima, said, “Our aim is to provide working experience. We are not doing this for the sake of it, we want to train and provide experience which will result in employment.” The training programme has commenced in Kenya and, according to BDlive, has 70 students. In South Africa intakes are expected soon. Techno Brain is an official partner for the training programme in Africa.
