The Infinix Hot 2 is actually a pretty awesome phone, and for its price it is definitely worth it, but as with every gadget, there are pros and of course cons, so here they are:
Pros:
It runs in the latest Android OS and with a promise to update to the Marshmallow update (awesome!)
It is super affordable in comparison to most phones in the market with lesser qualities
The UI is stock Android
It is an Android One phone
It is super-fast and responsive which makes multi-tasking excellent
Good call quality
Good video quality
Great game experience
Cons:
I discovered that quite a lot of apps I am used to seeing on my other Android phones are missing. There is no file manager (which means you have to install a third party file manager), you also do not have your usual photo gallery and only have “Photo” which is a Google app, and then no music app, but you have the Play music which of course is another Google app (sighs) … You have to download a bunch of apps to fill in these gaps from the Play Store.
I discovered that when the battery power is down, I couldn’t get its charger to power it back on and had to use a desktop charger to boost the battery. (I’ve spoken to some couple of friends that also have the Infinix Hot 2 and only a few experience this, so I guess it might have been a factory glitch.)
Average camera quality
Average battery life (well, the battery is only 2200mAH)
My conclusion: If you need a great phone that falls safely under the N20, 000 budget, has a 2GB Ram and performs super smooth and fast, then Infinix Hot 2 is your go-to-phone in the Nigeria phone market.
