Gossy Ukanwoke, Founder, Beni American University, to Speak at the ConnectNigeria eBusiness Fair

Gossy Ukanwoke is one of Nigeria’s foremost young education entrepreneurs, and the founder of the Beni American University, Nigeria’s first online university. His work is driven by the passion to make higher education accessible to people who have limited or no access to it, by availing them with an innovatively structured learning system that is unrestricted by the constraints of location and cost.

Gossy has a bachelor’s degree in Management Information System from the Grine American University. While still an undergraduate, he created the Students Circle Network, an online educational platform with over 10,000 resources from universities across the world. This project proved to be the precursor to the Beni American University, which Gossy founded in 2012.

BAU forms part of a bigger umbrella body, the BAU Research and Development, which also has an Executive Education arm, for graduates and business professional education. BAU Research and Development has provided research and advisory services to a network of institutions, including Rhema University in Aba, Abia State.

Gossy’s work has received wide acclaim. In 2016, he was named as one of 50 Global Movers and Shakers of Tech by the Qatar Foundation. He also won Ernst and Young’s Accelerating Entrepreneur award in 2015. International media firms which have covered his project include CNN, Forbes, and the Huffington Post.

At the Connect Nigeria eBuisness Fair, Gossy Ukanwoke will be communicating insights into how technology can help fill need gaps and create business growth opportunities for entrepreneurs to explore and exploit.

The Connect Nigeria eBusiness Fair will take place on February 18, 2017, at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Register to attend for free at connectnigeria.com/bizfair.
