Emmanuel Emenike Builds Standard Hospital In Imo State

  In a bid to give back to the society, Nigerian footballer, Emmanuel Emenike, who hails from Umuaka Njaba in Imo state has built a standard hospital. Emenike who quit international football in 2015 built a two-storey hospital structure along the highway to ensure that quality healthcare is easily accessible to every native of the community and others.

In a video shared by popular Nigerian businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, on Instagram, Emenike, in what looked like inspection of the facility, looked satisfied with the project which is part of efforts aimed at bringing Nigerian health system to world standard. Emenike who has featured for top European sides such as Spartak Moscow, Fenerbache, West Ham, amongst others, is expected to commission the project in no distant time so operations can fully commence. Popular among his fans as Ogbunigwe, Emenike featured for the Super Eagles from 2011-2015. The peak moment of his career with the national team was in 2013 during the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. He emerged highest goal scorer in the tournament with four goals as Nigeria emerged African champions for the third time in history.

Ogbunigwe was not done with the Super Eagles yet as his brace against Ethiopia in a 2014 World Cup qualifiers match on October 13, 2013, proved pivotal towards Nigeria’s qualification for the Mundial. At the World Cup in Brazil, Emenike was a very important part of late Stephen Keshi’s squad as they finished in the round of 16 before he announced his international retirement in 2015.
