Many of us dream, a lot of us dream, we want to be somebody. A person the world, or at least half of the world will stand in ovation for. But all that soon becomes “once upon a time”. We want to be the best, we fantasize on how much greatness we can achieve if given the chance; we daydream about it all. What then is the problem? Why haven’t we achieved something close to our dream?
The problem is we fantasize about what we want to achieve but we do nothing afterwards. When you dream, it is important you do something about the dream. Work towards making it a reality. We dream big, nice and fantastic dreams but we do nothing with it. That’s absurd!
We want to be celebrated, we want to be noticed but we do nothing in order to achieve the greatness. I watched a movie some time ago titled ‘Pursuit of Happiness’, and the lead character, Chris Gardner, gave his son these words, ‘If you want something, go get it. Period.’ Those words can change your life if adhered to. And those are the same words I want to leave you with, if you want something, you go get it…no excuses, no procrastination. Just do it and do it now before you change your mind.
That book you want to write, write it now- a page per day will take a couple of months to become a book. That exam you need to write, go for it. That business you want to start, you don’t have the capital all together but start anyway. Whatever it is you want to do, just do it now.
Remember, each day you waste, your passion for that great idea/dream diminishes.
