Weekend Sports Roundup: Super Falcons Fall 2-0 To Canada

Nigerian national women’s football team, Super Falcons, fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Canada on Saturday, April 9, 2022, in the first of a two-legged friendly between both nations. Goals from Jessie Fleming in the 50th minute and Vanessa Gilles in the 72nd minute were enough for the North American side to see off the resilient African champions. The second leg will hold on Tuesday, April 12 as the Randy Waldrum led Nigerian side seeks vengeance.

The forward will gift Enyimba all three points with a strike in the 68th minute. In Lagos, MFM boasted their relegation survival battle with a 2-0 win over Dakkada. Goals from Oluwaseun Badejo and Oladayo Alabi, were enough for the Olukoya Boys to gain all three points on Sunday.
