Ways To Be Happy Even When Broke

Ways To Be Happy Even When Broke
Have you ever gotten to the point where you’re so broke you find yourself snapping at everyone and everything? I bet we all have, and without a doubt, if not dealt with, such situations could spill into other aspects of our personal life and ruin important relationships. Yes, financial struggles can be very challenging but you must not let the burden that comes with it break you down. The key is learning not to stress over things you can’t change. Come to think of it, there’s really no point. Look at this way, if you had a solution, why are you mad and if there’s no way to solve it, why still stay angry? How can you live in the moment and enjoy life when all you do is complain, worry about money, and constantly hosting a pity party.  The more time you spend on these thoughts, the less you invest in appreciating the things you have going in your life. Remember the saying ‘when there’s life there’s hope’? well, same applies to this. Be thankful for the roof over your head, the clothes on your body, and the air in your lungs. So maybe you don’t get to have 3 square meals, but at least you eat at all. Your family and friends are still with you…  You have to remind yourself that there are worse situations than being broke. Acknowledging this will make a huge difference. If you want to change your mindset and train yourself to quit thinking about things in a particular manner, the best way to achieve it is by replacing the negative thoughts with positive ones. Putting things in perspective and changing your view of everything that could possibly go wrong is a step in the right direction to being happy. It would be better if you took charge of the situation rather than let the situation be in control. Distract yourself to the point of happiness. Get creative with how you spend your time. You can watch your favourite movie or do free fun stuff with friends. Remember, not everything demands money, some of the best memories I’ve had with friends didn’t cost a dime. Surround yourself with like-minded people. Circling yourself with people you can’t confide in is a sure way to be always depressed. Don’t forget to set achievable goals for yourself too. Setting goals you can’t attain will make you feel shallow which in turn leaves you miserable.
