The Role of the Private Sector in Turning Nigeria’s Agricultural Potential into Profit

On Thursday 25 July 2013, Sotonye Anga was a guest presenter at the Agribusiness And Food Secirity Summit, organized by Businessday at Eko Hotel. In his presentation on ‘The Role of Private Sector in Turning Nigeria’s Agricultural Potential into Profit’, he drew attention to the Government- enabled, private sector- driven Agricultural Transformation Agenda ATA. He highlighted areas where the government can trigger massive youth involvement in agriculture, and in turn spoke on the need for the private sector to recognise and tap into the goldmine that is agriculture. He also gave some unique ways that quick profit can be made from farming and shared his belief that agriculture could create the next generation of millionaires and billionaires in Nigeria.
