The Barack Obama American Corner Partners with the Made In Nigeria Project

The Made In Nigeria (MIN) Project has entered into a partnership with the Barack Obama American Corner (BOAC). The project is a proudly Nigerian concept that celebrates the uniqueness of being Nigerian and inspires Nigerians towards nation building. This collaboration is one of a few programmes and initiatives in preparation for the 2015 edition of the Made In Nigeria conference, which is the third in the series. Kick-starting the partnership will be “The Made In Nigeria Project’s first conversation cafe.” The conversation cafe will hold from 11am to 2pm on January 29th, 2015 at The Blue Room, The American Corner, 29A, Gafar Animashaun, Victoria Island, Lagos. According to the organizers, “the event is free and it is open for all professionals and aspiring creative and digital entrepreneurs.” The entrepreneurship-themed event will be directed by a profound strategist and coach. The Executive Director of the Made in Nigeria Project, Adedeji Alebiosu, said at a briefing, “The Made In Nigeria Project is glad to have the Barack Obama American Corner partner with us to host our conversation cafe(s) at the corner. We are encouraged and elated by their support as it’ll go a long way in our facilitating our commitment to nation building, capacity building, human & social development, enterprise and entrepreneurship.” On her part, Lois Ekeleme, the Coordinator of BOAC stated that, “The Barack Obama American Corner is pleased to partner with The Made In Nigeria Project. The BOAC is a resource centre that houses resources on American History, Culture, Government and Education. The American Corner has resources that promote English Language learning. We also organize local programmes that build life skills and bridges of understanding between Nigeria and the United states. This partnership with MIN will go a long way in fostering our ties with initiatives powered by The Made In Nigeria Project.” For further details and inquiries, visit www.madeinnigeriaproject.org Email; info@madeinnigeriaproject.org.
