A new information aggregator, Cavegoat.com, has just been launched. The website features some of the latest African news headlines, providing comprehensive up-to-date news coverage, aggregated from sources all over the world.
The purpose of Cavegoat.com, according to a statement released by the organisation, is to help answer the question, “What’s happening in Africa?” in a single page. Thus, using an automatic aggregation algorithm, it selects the headlines of the latest stories from thousands of publications and from the best sites and blogs that cover the African continent. “We group these collections — ‘aggregations’ — into categories. Then, we display the ten most recent headlines for each category,” the statement explained.
