How She Hatched The Idea For Her Business

Agbogu’s idea for her business was born out of a need to shed some pounds while experimenting with food and nutrition. She took a liking for posting creative diet options she came up with on a group, and soon, she started receiving approval from group members who urged her to turn her idea into a business.

Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, she wrote,
“I was big and I did not want to be judged, so I refused to do anything. But then I loved banana bread, I used to buy from a lady and I noticed I got bloated after having hers, so I chose to try to see how I could bake one following instruction from YouTube. When I posted a picture of it, everyone wanted to have a taste, someone paid me to make one for her and that was how it all started.”

NaijaBrandChick

Given the impact of Instagram on her business, Agbogu started NaijaBrandChick, an Instagram page where she shares marketing nuggets for small business owners, organises masterclasses, and spearheads effective collaborations with other influencers. There are over 200k followers on NaijaBrandChick, making Agbogu one of the most sought-after entrepreneurs, speakers, and influencers in Nigeria. Featured Image Source: The Spark
