The company is part of a growing movement that offers alternatives to the synthetic oils and lotions that dominate the beauty and skincare industry in Nigeria. Brands in this niche promote skin maintenance and healing solutions that are derived from a blend of plant extracts and efficacious organic substances. Adunni Organics was founded in 2016 by Olumide Gbadebo. Prior to setting up the company, Olumide was an advertising and marketing professional. At some point, she became interested in soap making and discovered that there weren’t many quality natural skincare products available. In the years since it was established, Adunni Organics has grown into a recognizable brand in the natural body and hair care niche. It has made progress on both its internal processes and customer-facing aspects. The company has gone from acquiring most of its ingredients from outside of Nigeria to purchasing a majority of them locally. It has also expanded its product range and established nationwide shipping coverage.

Adunni Organics has had to overcome several challenges to remain a player in the organic body care market. But it continues to grow. It could become an even bigger brand in that space over the coming years, as more Nigerians develop a preference for natural hair and skin maintenance products. Featured Image Source: Adunni Organics
