Oui Capital, an Africa-focused, sector agnostic venture capital firm known for their early investments in agency banking giant TeamApt, and freight forwarder, MVX, made a total of eight new investments across Africa – the most they’ve ever done in a single year. In this article, we take a closer look at quabbly, one of Oui Capital’s 2021 investments. Quabbly is a platform that teams and businesses use to create internal applications to manage and automate their processes. The good news is that coding is not required. The platform allows businesses to organize their work procedure and automate workflows. That way, they can stay efficient and get reasonable insights into their business without wasting productive time.  With Quabbly, anyone from a small business owner to a large business can create a workflow channel without hiring an in-house software engineer. The company was founded by David Ogbonna-Eze, Osita Daniel, and Jamiu Ozigi to deliver easy-to-use, cost-effective, and scalable software solutions for businesses. It was built from the desire to sell an “all-in-one” software solution to the businesses they sought to serve, which led the founders to build a platform that enables businesses to tailor such software to their needs. Oui Capital led Quabbly’s pre-seed round, with participation from Ben Tossell, founder of Makerpad (sold to Zapier).

The platform enables businesses to do the following:
  1. Create personalized software to fit unique business processes: Quabbly encourages all users to remain true to their identity when creating their software. They recognize the difference that exists among various businesses, that’s why it created a platform flexible and assessable to every business.
  2. Ease communication and collaboration: Team members and business owners can collaborate across the board on projects and the entire work process. It helps the business process to be streamlined. One can also use Quabbly to communicate with partners and teammates directly on their business boards.
  3. Optimizing data with views: Boards are best viewed in different ways for different results based on varying circumstances. One can choose any of the preferred views from Table, Kanban, Chart, Map, and Calendar.
  4. Integrations: With integrations, users can seamlessly connect with their Quabbly board to external applications. They can set these integrations with just a few clicks and using their API Keys. For instance, software like Mailchimp in Quabbly allows you to send direct or automated emails from your board.
  5. Dashboards: It helps businesses to take charge of their business insights, analytics, and reports with a dashboard that allows you to summarize data on high-priority boards. With Dashboards, one can pin important items from any board. It is useful for getting a general overview of activities on the board(s).
Quabbly has a mobile app, where anyone can have the ability to work on their boards, right on their palms. The mobile app is the perfect fit for workers to communicate and collaborate with their teammates while on the move. It is available for download on the Google play store for Android devices. However, the iOS version is not available yet. The first step is to search for Quabbly on the play store using the search bar and download. The next action is to sign in using your existing account. It also allows an already existing user to log in to an existing Quabbly account. Then it’s ready to use.  Featured Image Source: Quabbly
