The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is offering 14 slots of 2 X 5 MHz FDD paired Spectrum band ranging from 2500 – 2570MHz and 2620 to 2690MHz (totalling 2 X 70 MHz). The auctioning, according to the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Dr. Eugene Juwah, is anticipated to give Nigeria’s broadband drive a new focus. The project is said to be completed by the end of this year or early in 2015.

The Federal Government recently directed the Bank of Industry (BoI) and the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO) to collaborate on measures to facilitate the disbursement of the N220 billion intervention fund to qualified businesses.
