The program is being organized in conjunction with Inspiration FM, on which the SME Business Platform radio program airs weekly. This years’ edition will be the fourth of its kind; it’s themed Dealing With Objections in MSME Loan Request.

This event is aimed at showing entrepreneurs how to build bankable businesses. The speakers will be heads of SME banking from some of Nigeria’s top banks, as well as representatives of other financiers. They will be explaining the loan application and approval processes to the audience and laying out their criteria for selecting emerging businesses that they can finance.

Also expected at the event will be the Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Rabiu Olowo Onaolapo. He will be speaking about the support that’s available from the Lagos State Government for small businesses, and how the government is working to improve the large SME space in the state.

Over 450 SMEs are expected to attend this event. The organizers say there’s also space for exhibitions; a discount of 50% is currently available for early registrants who want to showcase their products and services to business-minded buyers.

Important details about the event are listed below:

Date: Saturday, November 23, 2019

Venue: The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry
