Lagos Port to Receive 21 Ships Between May and June

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 21 ships laden with various goods to berth in Lagos between May 20 and June 4, 2014.
According to a Bulletin published by News Agency of Nigeria(NAN), NPA said one of the ships would be conveying empty containers.
Nine ships carrying Petrol, Base Oil and Crude Palm Oil are waiting to berth at ABTL, Single Buoy Mooring, Atlantic Cove Jetty (ACJ) and Petroleum Wharf Apapa (PWA), respectively. The ships expected to berth at Apapa Moller Terminal (APM) include WehrWarnow, Em Andros, GSL African, MSK Cairo, Irenes Remedy, Weser Wolf, MSK Cardiff, Kota Puri and Kota Hidaya.
The bulletin also revealed that eight other ships carrying rice would berth at ENL Consortium, Green View Development Nigeria Ltd., and Apapa Bulk Terminal Ltd (ABTL).
It said that the other ships are carrying commodities such as clinker, fertiliser, second-hand vehicles, wheat, gypsum, steel products, sugar and general goods.
“Some of the vessels would also berth at Sea School, ACJ, NISPAN, Fishery PWA, Wharf, Standard Flour Mill, and GDNL,” the publication added.
