Coupin, an online platform that connects deal seekers with merchants and
businesses who have great discounts, deals and promotional campaigns, has finally launched its operations.
Coupin, AppLeap Limited’s first product, started full operations on the 1st of November in Lagos, Nigeria. This is off the back of an earlier initial pilot launch which was done to get feedback from merchants and
customers who made use of the product at the time. The result from the initial pilot launch saw Coupin integrate payments and logistics services on the app for a better 360 shopping experience.
What this simply spells out for users is that they can now complete the end-to-end process of purchasing a deal, making payment and getting it delivered to their preferred location all within the app.
Prior to the full-time launch of the product, the team pitched Coupin at the Lion’s Den Show, the biggest business reality show in Nigeria, where entrepreneurs pitch for investments to five venture capitalists who are willing to invest in exchange for equity. The team was able to get the backing of 3 out of the 5 investors which clearly shows investor confidence in what Coupin is about and trying to build.

Coupin as a platform has the goal of becoming the preferred platform for connecting businesses and customers in a bid to drive traction and sales for the businesses while offering the best deals to customers within their vicinity.

Whilst we know we are still a young growing company, we are out to ensure businesses grow and customers also get amazing deals on items they need giving them the chance to save big”
Coupin also has a logistics partnership with one of the leading logistics platforms in the country, to facilitate swift delivery (within 24 hours of placing an order) to ensure that customers get an all-around pleasant experience on the app. However, customers can also choose to walk into the store they purchased a deal from with their Coupin code to redeem their deals if they choose to.
