The state government recently renovated the spring bringing it to an international tourist standard, while maintaining its cultural and natural features.
The legendary history behind the origin of the Ikogosi Warm Spring is an interesting tale for tourists. It’s said that the springs were the two wives of a great hunter; One of them was said to be temperamental while the other was quiet. One day, the two wives had a fight and after being rebuked by their husband, the temperamental wife changed to the warm spring while the quiet one turned to the cold spring. The meeting point of the warm and cold springs is a fascinating sight of two streams flowing side by side without mixing up. we guess the two wives are still quarrelling.
