At Wave 5 Wireless, WandeAdalemo leads a team that’s on a mission to connect communities across sub-Saharan Africa via communication technologies. His experience in the IT industry spans nearly two decades. One of his accomplishments is the launch of Nigeria’s first Metro WiFi network at the Computer Village in Lagos.
Wande is also currently a programs director at the Founder Institute, the world’s leading pre-seed startup accelerator. He has been a speaker at several tech events, including Nigeria Com, e-Nigeria, and conferences organized by the Ministry of Communication.
FunkeMedun, Director, Leapworld
FunkeMedun is Director at Leapworld Limited, a firm that delivers business development services to MSMEs in Nigeria. The company provides competency training, human resource development, and business management to enterprises seeking to improve and scale their operations.
Funke is also an Independent Non-Executive Director at Proshare.Co, a professional practice that offers research and information services to investors. She was the Team Lead of the World Bank Growth and Employment (GEM) project between 2016 and 2018. Before joining the consulting industry, she gained significant experience in Nigeria’s banking industry.
Her qualifications are from the China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS), IESE Business School, and the Lagos Business School (LBS). She is currently on track to obtain a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the Paris School of Business, France.
Adebayo Durodola, MD/CEO Sthenic Capital Management Limited
Adebayo Durodola is an economic and investment strategy expert who has been involved in the finance industry for over 15 years. He heads Sthenic Capital Management, a fund manager with a decade of investment experience.
In the past, Adebayo was Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management at Platform Capital Investment Partners and Senior Associate at Synergy Capital Advisory.
He has a B.Sc and M.Sc in Economics from the University of Ibadan and is about to obtain a PhD in Energy Economics and Finance from the Centre for petroleum Economics, Energy, and Law (CPEEL).
