Last week Saturday, an unfortunate fire incident in Ojuelegba, Lagos – which razed down several homes and left some injured – caused major traffic jams in surrounding areas. Many road users were left stationary for hours, and little to nothing was done to help with car movements.
This sort of situation isn’t news to us, and it’s high time we Nigerians came together to develop a long-term solution to constant obstructions on our roads during times of crisis and otherwise. Do we go digital in traffic management? Should we insist on the provision of more alternative routes? So many questions, with so much to get done.
The CNTV crew asked fellow Nigerians on the streets to share their thoughts on how we can move forward.
