This month, our selection of top business events are drawn from a variety of industries: energy, automotive, retail, beauty, and property. There are also a number of general interest trade shows to look forward to, the biggest of them being the Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF).
You may find these events worth attending if you would like to rake in good sales, gain new clients, strike valuable partnerships, and learn some trade secrets just before the year runs out.
1. Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF)
Easily the most anticipated trade show in Nigeria, the Lagos International Trade Fair attracts hundreds of exhibitors and business interests and tens of thousands of visitors from within and outside of the country. This year’s edition will take place over two weeks, cover at least 40,000 square meters of exhibition space, and generate billions of naira in sales and deals.

2. West Africa Automotive Show
This show features brands in the car dealership, automobile spare parts, auto repair, and vehicle enhancement sub-industries. According to its organizers, there could be about 250 of such firms exhibiting their products and services there, and 2,500 visitors exploring everything on offer.
Date: 6-8 November

3. Retail Sourcing Fair West Africa
The Retail Sourcing Fair gives small and emerging businesses in the retail sector the chance to reach bigger markets and acquire new customers. It’s an exhibition show for companies in the printing, lighting, crafts, ceramics, and furniture making industries, among others.
Date: 12-14 November
Venue: Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos
Time: 10 AM- 6 PM.
4. WIMBIZ Annual Conference
The Women In Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) Annual Conference is a gathering of women working in the corporate world and the public sector. It typically tackles issues that are relevant to women seeking growth in their careers.
This year, the event runs with the theme, Shaping the Future: Strategizing to Win. Speakers at the event will include Amy Jadesimi, CEO, Ladol; Uju Ifejika, CEO, Brittania-U Nigeria; Folake Adeniyi-Adeleye, Regional Director, Oracle; Temitope Iluyemi, Director, Global Government Relations for Africa, P&G; and Toun Okewale Sonaiya, CEO & Co-Founder, Women Radio FM.

5. International Conference on Supply Chain Management
Supply chain management professionals and businesses looking to improve their distribution networks will want to be at this event. Organizers will be hoping that their expert speakers discuss best practices in Supply Chain Management, and highlight ways by which businesses in Nigeria can enhance this aspect of their operations.

6. Beauty West Africa Exhibition
This event is targeted at players in the West African beauty industry, as well as people enthusiastic about beauty and personal care products. Regular buyers, salon owners, spa operators, importers, retailers, and beauty professionals are all invited. They could be engaging with over 250 exhibitors from Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and America, who will be representing some of the world’s emerging beauty brands.

7. West Africa Property Investment Summit
The West Africa Property Investment Summit is open to stakeholders in the real estate industry, whether they are in the private or public sector. It’s an avenue for them to explore the opportunities that exist in the industry, network with other real estate professionals and policymakers, and strike valuable deals with new partners.

8. Nigeria LPG Summit
Every year, leading professionals and LPG executives gather at the Nigeria LPG Summit to examine the challenges they face in powering the country’s households and industries. This year’s event will be free to attend; so it’s expected that there will be a large contingent from companies in the LPG space in attendance.
