Business Events of the Month, December 2019

Kendor Consulting

It’s the end of the year. Companies are wrapping up, taking stock of what they’ve done over the past twelve months, and maybe preparing to take a break for the holidays. But for many businesses, there’s still a lot of work to do in the next couple of weeks. Some are banking on Christmas sales to boost their end-of-year numbers.

How about closing out the year with a late harvest of business insights and new networks? They could come in handy in 2020. Here are a number of events happening this month that could give you these things (and more).

Hackathons are becoming a fixture of Nigeria’s fast-growing tech landscape. The biggest of them all, Naija Hacks, happens this month. The organizers say it’s a festival of cutting edge, innovative ideas.

They expect it to feature about 300 exciting teams, over 1,000 delegates, as well as mentors, speakers, and judges from eight countries who will be scrutinizing the tech-solutions presented and sharing their insights and experiences with participants.

We get the sense that it’ll have a slightly celebratory feel to it; perhaps a fine way for techies to unwind at the end of a busy year.
