Da Viva, a textile production and fashion company based in Nigeria, exhibits this blend with its offerings. Its Ankara fabrics are sought after across the country and for good reason. It’s been a major player in the local textile industry for a long while, and it continues to solidify its place there. The company spins its products from pure cotton—something that’s become rarer as the years have passed. They come in various textures, giving customers a range of options to select from. These made-in-Nigeria textile products have stood the test of time in a market that’s currently been flooded with alternatives from the Far East. Da Viva has several collections, each representing a variance in fabric style and design. These collections include Expression, Paradisio, Ultimate, Collezioni, and ABC Prestige. Their imprints range from depictions of natural phenomena (predominantly flowery) to abstract art. The colour combinations give off an unmistakable aura, to be seen only in traditional Nigerian fabrics. But Da Viva doesn’t just make fabrics. They are produce T-shirts for men and women, men’s shirts, and garments for women. These are all stocked for people who don’t have the time to tailor their fabrics into wear.

Its products can be ordered on various online stores (including its own), or bought from its shops and dealers spread all over the country. Dealers are present in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin City, and Warri. Other locations include Ibadan, Enugu, Kaduna, and Lokoja. There are also stores and dealers in places outside of Nigeria, specifically in Ghana and Kenya. Da Viva has an Exclusive Club Loyalty Program, which buyers can sign up for at its shops. It allocates points to members who purchase products worth a certain value; these points can also be redeemed at its stores. Through the years, Da Viva has collaborated with various fashion events, such as the African Fashion Week Nigeria and the African Fashion Week London. It has also worked with the Kinabuti Fashion Initiative, and the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN). Like other fabric manufacturers based in Nigeria, Da Viva has to deal with competition from imported alternatives, as well as rivalry from local producers. But it has weathered the pressure so far.
