This company’s portfolio of completed projects encompasses commercial, institutional, residential, industrial, and government-held structures. It has taken on these assignments over the course of almost three decades and continues to gain prominence in the sphere in which it is active.

The founders of Megastar incorporated it in 1988. It began with a staff of just 15 persons, two trucks, and a lean office. In the years that followed, they built this enterprise into a large company with experienced engineers and supervisors skilled in various disciplines. It currently employs over a thousand workers.

Today, Megastar has its headquarters in Port Harcourt, and branch offices in Bonny (Rivers State), Yenagoa (Bayelsa State), and Uyo (Akwa Ibom State). From these locations, it serves a growing clientele, predominantly from all over the Niger Delta. The company is also open to taking on assignments elsewhere in the country.

Much of the successes that Megastar has recorded come down to the skill and experience of its Managing Director, Harcourt Adukeh. He is a seasoned architect and fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and has served in various positions in the public sphere.

Some of the major projects that Megastar has taken on include construction at the Federal Polytechnic Ekowe, Bayelsa State; the Negris Turbo Machinery Repair and Overhaul Workshop, Port Harcourt, Rivers State; the Ibom Tropicana Entertainment Center, Uyo; and the Jesuit Memorial College, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Among its most impressive accomplishments is the construction of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) office complex. It built the 17-story structure at the cost of 17 billion, after beating other bidders, including foreign construction companies, to secure the contract.

Megastar adopts a firm vertical integration strategy, involving sister companies like Quality Build Center, Builders Merchant Limited, and Kinetic Electro Mechanic. This strategy allows it to offer a broader scope of services to its clients.

Proof of Megastar’s commitment to safe construction practices is seen in its membership in the British Safety Council. The fact that it takes Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) seriously makes it a preferred candidate for contracts. This hasn’t gone unnoticed, as several clients have been impressed by this strong dedication to safety specifications.

Megastar’s vision is to be the “leading Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Maintenance Company in Nigeria. It is reaching this goal by strengthening its hold on regional markets for civil engineering and construction. This may prove to be a winning tactic in the long run.
