Fresh from her audacious performance at the IAAF Diamond League in Shanghai, the Nigerian queen of the tracks is in a world of her own.
Beating Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce with almost a meter, she arrived at a time of 10.98 seconds to win the race.
Given the star studded line-up, it gives the queen more hope that Beijing 2015 will definitely be successful for her. With a good start, she can coast home to victory in Beijing.
Okagbare said “My race was pretty good. It is not easy to compete with the best but I won. I focused on my start. Normally, I don’t have the best start, but now I was leading from the beginning.”
Asked if she would now have her work cut out in defending her title in Beijing later in the year, Fraser-Pryce said: “I always have my work cut out. No one hands anything to you.”
With Blessing Okagbare in such high spirits and form, Fraser-Pryce will definitely have her work cut out for her.
