Attend the 2nd Personal & Executive Assistants’ Summit this Weekend

Are you ready for the Personal & Executive Assistants’ Summit? If you were still considering the pro and cons of attending, here are the organisers answering some questions we posed to them concerning the summit: How important is the role of the PA/EA in an organization? The business world is a dynamic one and it can be very challenging and we all need some help at some point or the other. PA/EAs are not just assistants but strategic partners within organizations. This is so because their role is to assist managers/ leaders to be at their best and get other employees to make the most of their relationship with them for more productive outcomes for the company. A study shows that PAs contribute as much as 40% to their boss’s productivity. Do you believe that PAs are worth more than they are paid? And will the issue of a PAs compensation be discussed at the summit? Efficient and productive PAs are more often than not worth more than they are paid. They are constantly available on weekdays and weekends and work late hours when a lot of other staff have left. Their boss’s productivity mean a lot to their respective companies and as PAs contribute towards ensuring productive bosses, they can be termed to be worth more than they are paid as their roles are critical and strategic. Should employers invest in the training of their PAs and EAs? Input into PAs would generate better output. No matter how good your PA is, there is always room for improvement and you can encourage them by sending them on trainings. You will agree that PAs work across board even in units that they have little initial knowledge about and with a variety of internal and external customers. As their roles are quite sensitive, it is imperative that they should be properly equipped through training. What should delegates expect to learn at the summit The PA summit brings to the fore critical considerations that every forward looking PA/EA, Secretary etc should take note of and addresses them with practical and insightful knowledge and tips. The last edition witnessed a wide array of facilitators taking on a range of topics, this year’s edition is billed to do likewise and even more. Some of the topics for this year are: The event comes up on Saturday, 20th of July at the AGDC Learning Centre, 5, Maitama Sule Street, off Raymond Njoku, Falomo Ikoyi.
