Run by the Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN) and University College London (UCL), the program is offering up to eight small grants for research into accountability mechanisms related to climate change adaptation in the African continent. The maximum grant size is GBP 4,500. Researchers selected for the program will “design and implement projects with overall responsibility for the research and grant management with the support of an academic mentor.” The ARIN and UCL will provide support and opportunities for networking and in-person write shops to develop a publication.

Projects will explore and focus on specific examples of improving accountability for adaptation in the continent of Africa.
Application documents include:
- The written proposal should not be more than 2 pages.
- A short indicative budget detailing direct costs if necessary.
- Proof of academic qualifications.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- CV and letter of motivation.
