The organizers of the Aurora Tech Award say that they intend for this program to help women find and run tech ventures to excel. At the moment, only a small fraction of the funding, technical support and exposure that’s accrued to tech startups have reached those run by women. The Aurora Tech Award wants to change this narrative.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the Aurora Tech Award, entrants must meet these criteria:- Must be a female founder and leader at a tech startup or company
- Should have a viable business model, at least a potential for significant growth, and a product that has gained traction in its market
- Should be able to demonstrate that they are making a positive impact in their target markets with the work they do
