Whether you want to go into a
relationship, friendship, marriage, and others, it’s important that you monitor the people you want to go into it with. In this article, I am going to discuss six kinds of
toxic people to avoid.
-
Leeches
These people are exploiters, users, parasites and they’re known for always sucking and receiving from you, but they don’t give out. They might be friends, siblings, relatives, and even partners in a relationship. If you don’t want to be sucked dry, steer clear from leeches.
-
Rivals
This set of people are always in competition with you. They want to have what you have. They see you as their eternal competitor. Sometimes, you might wish to start a business or pursue something worthwhile, that’s when they too will want to pursue the same course or business. They see as a rival, even when aren’t aware. But it’s important to watch their behaviours and spot out red flags.
-
Ingrates
These people can never show any form of gratitude, even if you bought them the whole world. They can’t show any form of gratitude rather, they complain and grumble or, at best, blank their helpers. They’re never satisfied.

Crabs
These people are saboteurs, they have the mindset of pulling down people who are potentially successful. They advise not to engage in anything that’ll upgrade your person. They’re anti-progress, whether your progress is forthcoming or is already achieved, these people do everything to sabotage it. Sometimes, these people feel threatened by your growth. They’re not willing to rise and they won’t allow others who want to rise to do so. They’re the ”if I don’t have it, you won’t have it too” people. They are pullers.
-
Downers
This set of people do everything in their power to discredit your entire personality. They address and define you by your seeming weakness and defects. They make fun of your physical features or remind you of your predicament. Most often, they say it lightly or in a passing and even go as far as saying it publicly. Making your spirit go down gives them joy.
-
Downplayers
These people can never commend your efforts and ideas or say coagulations to your progress. For instance, when you get a pay raise in your company, rather than saying ”Great, congratulations!”, they would rather say ”that doesn’t stop you from being your employee’s slave.” They undermine your success. They make you feel little compared to them.
